Longtime Plano resident, Eula Mae possessed a strong faith and deep commitment to her family. Nothing pleased her more than gatherings with her 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren. She displayed an incredible work ethic. After the great depression, her family stripped of assets, she vowed to never return to this lifestyle. She worked, scrimped, saved, and did without to make ends meet. Long time before the “positive thinkers” of this era arrived on the scene, Eula Mae never allowed negative thinking to rule her day. She honestly believed an individual could accomplish any goal, just get up and do it!
Eula Mae would be pleased to be remembered through the provision of this gift for education, creating opportunities for PISD graduates. Surely she would want us to tell all Hendrick Scholars:
“You can accomplish anything, just get up and do it!”
