HENDRICK SCHOLARSHIP FOUNDATION HOSTS TASTE 2024 TO BENEFIT AT-RISK PLANO STUDENTS ON MARCH 7
Dallas Cowboys Kicker Brandon Aubrey Joins More than a Dozen
Restaurants in Gala Evening
Since 1991, the Hendrick Scholarship Foundation, named to honor acclaimed former Plano ISD Superintendent Dr. Wayne Hendrick, has been providing Plano ISD graduates who have overcome significant adversity with scholarships and support services to promote success in life through education. Each year, the foundation’s signature fundraiser, TASTE, raises significant funds to provide scholarships and mentorship for dozens of students.
This year, the chic soiree event will be held on Thursday, March 7 at Mercedes-Benz of Plano. Special guest Dallas Cowboys kicker Brandon Aubrey, a Plano ISD graduate himself, will meet guests at a VIP reception at 5:30pm and will be interviewed on stage by the event emcee, Rikki Ragland during the program at 7:30pm. But the real stars of the event are the Hendrick Scholarship recipients who will interact with attendees and share their stories.
TASTE brings together more than a dozen of the region’s top restaurants to share their finest dishes with event attendees. The following restaurants will be at this year’s event.
• CraftWay Kitchen
• Enzo’s Deli & Imports
• Fogo de Chao
• John Tesar’s Knife Steakhouse
• Lavendou Bistro Provencal
• Mi Dia From Scratch
• Plano East Senior High Bistro
• Princi Italia
• Terra Mediterranean
• Wu Wei Din Chinese
In addition to dinner and cocktails, guests will enjoy a live and silent auction with dozens of fantastic offerings.
Tickets to the event start at just $175 and can be purchased at https://www.betterunite.com/taste2024
