On Thursday, March 6, 2024, HSF hosted TASTE 2025 Wings of Change at Mercedes-Benz of Plano for the third year in a row.  It was a memorable night.  Thanks to the incredible generosity of our supporters, TASTE raised an astounding $212,012 in support of our scholars.  A special highlight of the evening was the Build-A-Scholarship Ask, which raised $28,400 during the program – allowing us to create another full scholarship.

The giving didn’t stop there! In a heartwarming show of support, we were blessed with four additional named scholarships that night, further expanding our ability to change lives through education.

These funds enable us to offer scholarships and a comprehensive support system to Plano ISD graduates who have faced and overcome significant challenges. With a personal coach, life-skills workshops, career guidance, and a community that truly cares about our scholars as they climb to new heights.  

HSF awards up to $20,000 to each of our undergrad scholars that we bring into our program over the course of 4-6 years.  The $28,400 raised during the Ask and the 4 additional Named Scholarships will provide funds for at least 5 scholarships for students in our new 2025 cohort in the Spring.

14 restaurants provided delicious sips and bites including: Anaya’s Seafood Scratch Kitchen, Bellagreen, Craftway Kitchen, Firebirds Wood Fired Grill, Fogo de Chão, Knife Steakhouse, Lavendou, Mexican Bar Company, Original Chop Shop, Plano East High School Culinary Program (Eastside Bistro), Rise Soufflé, Royal Kitchen, Truluck’s and Uchiko.
