THE HENDRICK MISSION
Provide Plano (TX) ISD graduates who have overcome ADVERSITY with scholarships and support services to promote SUCCESS in life through education
THE UNMET NEED
The unmet need…
is access to post-secondary education for economically disadvantaged students. In the State of Texas, currently only 36% of all students (within six years of graduating high school) attain some form of post-secondary credential, whether a baccalaureate degree, associate degree, or industry certification. Sadly, the percentage for at-risk students is only 12%.
The individual earnings differential between degree holders and non-degree holders may exceed $1,000,000 over a lifetime.
Hendrick assigns each student a Success Coach who is there to help him/her navigate the entire college journey. Hendrick also provides relevant life-learning workshops. This unique support system differentiates.
